The Secretary of Ofu Local Government Area, Hon Moses Idoga Amade Stephen, has dismissed rumors of politicians forming a coalition against the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration in Kogi State.
In a chat with newsmen in Lokoja, Hon Amade Stephen attributed the rumors to faceless politicians who have lost relevance, stressing that the APC is less concerned about the alleged meetings being held at the premises of a former Governor.
“The Kogi people have resolved to remain resolute in their support for the present administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo,” he said.
“The current developmental strategies of Governor Ododo have complimented the efforts of the immediate past administration and brought to bear the ideological principles of good governance.”
Hon Amade Stephen appealed to the people of Ofu Local Government Area to avoid distractions and work in line with the ruling party to benefit from the dividends of democracy.
He also expressed confidence that the party’s leadership, including Bola Tinubu, will emerge victorious in the 2027 election.
The Secretary highlighted Governor Ododo’s achievements in debt settlement, payment of salaries and leave bonuses, and infrastructural development, particularly the flagging off of roads in Idah.
“A thoroughbred politician like Governor Ododo will always have the support of the majority,” he said.
Hon Amade Stephen cautioned those who might be considering forming a coalition to guide their supporters to operate on the right track, emphasizing that such efforts would be futile.
