Late Comrade Abdul Beni Agenyi was born to the family of Pa Beni Agenyi and Hawawo Edicha on 24th July, 1964, at Ogbogba in Igalamela-Odolu Local Government of Kogi State.
He did his primary education at LGEA School Ajaka from 1969 to 1975. He immediately proceeded to Idah Secondary Commercial College for Secondary Education and graduated in 1980.
He was employed into the services of the then Benue state on 22nd September 1980. While in service, he obtained his National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Statistics from Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo and Yaba College of Technology Lagos respectively.
He gloriously retired from service on 21st September 2015 as Chief Statistics Officer.
Comrade Abdul Beni Agenyi’s dedication to public service and his community was truly inspiring, said a colleague. “His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.”
He is survived by his wife and five children.
His love for his community and the local area remained high until his death. His services to humanity were highly exhibited among old students’ associations, friends, and relatives.
“As a man of integrity and compassion, Comrade Abdul Beni Agenyi will be deeply missed by all who knew him,” said a family friend. “May his soul find eternal rest.”
The 8-day Fidau will take place on Wednesday, 21st May 2025, at his residence, GRA Idah, Idah Local Government Area, at 10:00 am.
Friends, colleagues, relations, and political associates of the deceased have been invited to the Fidau and are urged to be punctual.
Comrade Abdul Beni Agenyi passed away on Wednesday last week in Idah following a sudden illness.
“May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and comfort his family during this difficult time,” said a condolence message from friends and school mates.
