Council Chairman Commends Governor Ododo’s Staff Welfare Initiatives

The Executive Chairman of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Council, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Atabor held an interactive meeting with staff members at the Local Government Headquarters, Ajaka.

He emphasizes the need for responsibility and efficiency in their duties for effective governance.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. (Barr) Cosmas Atabor called on employees to take their roles seriously, warning that absenteeism and negligence would no longer be tolerated.

He announced plans to reintroduce the Clock-In and Clock-Out system which will commence soon to enhance accountability and efficiency in the workforce.

The Chairman further stressed the implementation of a “No Work, No Pay” policy, to check excesses and ensure compliance.

Hon. (Barr) Atabor assured that the policy would be enforced impartially as authorized by the state Government.

The Chairman applauded Governor Ododo for fulfilling his promise to improve staff welfare, including implementation of the new national minimum wage despite financial challenges.

He urged staff members to remain prayerful and steadfast in their support of the Governor’s vision.

He encouraged adherence to administrative protocols to maintain governance standards.

Union leaders at the meeting praised the Chairman’s initiatives, lauded the Governor’s dedication to staff welfare, and pledged their cooperation.

They appealed to the Chairman to address key concerns, including the facilitation of motorcycle loans to alleviate transportation challenges.

The employment of additional personnel to address workforce shortages, and support for the family of a deceased colleague during burial arrangements.

In a remark, the Director of Personnel Management, Hon. Abalaka Ukwubile, commended Governor Ododo’s staff-focused policies

He urged staff to comply fully with the Chairman’s directives as mandated by the state Government, and praised the Council Chairman for his open-door leadership Style.
