A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Dr. Halima Kabir Gaya, has received a prestigious Lifetime Excellence Award from a non-governmental organization, Advocacy for Youth Leadership in Governance, Nigeria.
The award recognizes her exceptional leadership qualities, philanthropic efforts, and contributions to national and state growth and development.
According to the organization’s national convener, Comrade Abiodun Ajinomoh, the award acknowledges Dr. Gaya’s significant impact on the APC’s electoral successes and her commitment to societal growth.
The recognition serves as a testament to her dedication and encourages her to continue making a positive difference.
Receiving the award on Dr. Gaya’s behalf, Chief Comfort Onoja expressed gratitude to the organizers and pledged that the honor would motivate Dr. Gaya to intensify her efforts in serving humanity, the state, and the country.
Dr. Gaya also urged the people of Kogi State to put aside ethnic and religious differences and support the Governor Ahmed Ododo-led administration in achieving sustainable development.
The organization also conferred awards on other deserving individuals, including Barrister Comas Atabor, Hon. Nuhu Ahmed, and Hon. Veezer Dare Joshua, for their outstanding performances as former Caretaker Committee Chairmen in their respective Local Government Areas.
