The Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Comr. Engr. Muhammed Ahovi Yusuf has felicitated Muslims on the celebration of this year’s Eid El Fitr.
Hon. Engr. Muhammed in a statement issued to Newsmen in Okene, equally congratulated Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo on the auspicious occasion and expressed optimism that his tenure would meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
In his prayers, the Commissioner said “Eid-el fitr crowns our spiritual journey with inestimable joy and happiness. As the crescent moon shines above and it’s visible to all, so shall the Almighty Allah make you outstanding in your endeavors and accept your Iman and Ibadah”
He further noted that the Holy month of Ramadan is an opportunity for our Muslim brothers and sisters to deepen their relationship with Allah (SWT), and promote a life of sacrifice, charity, and love for one another.
In his words “There is no better time to show love and togetherness than now when we are joining forces in building a united Kogi State. This is why it is remarkable that we bond together amidst these very challenging times,”
” I urge faithful “to use the spiritual encounter which Ramadan has had on us to usher in renewed hope for Kogi State by promoting peace and the spirit of oneness.”
“Indeed, Ramadan has taught us that empathy is a key pillar of our existence. We can use this lesson to improve how we relate with one another.
“Let us shun what divides us and promote what unites us. Our belief in God should be a rallying point for us to see the picture of what we stand to benefit when we support ourselves.”
While urging the people of the state to celebrate the occasion in moderation, the Commissioner called for prayers for the present administration in the State, praying to God to enable the faithfuls to witness many more Eid El Fitr in the land of the living.
