Burial program for the late Mama Cecilia Abiba Obaje (Nene) who passed away on the 7th November 2024 in Idah, Idah Local Government Area of Kogi State has been released by the family.
According to the program made available to Newsmen by a son of the deceased who is a retired Permanent Secretary from Kogi State Civil Service, Sir Joseph Obaje (KSM) explained that wake comes up at the deceased residence, Number 16, Doctor Abah Omale Street Idah, Kogi state on Thursday 28th November 2024 beginning at five o’clock in the evening till dawn.
Similarly, funeral service will be held on November 29th 2024 at the United Evangelical Church, UEC, Igala-Ogba Idah at ten o’clock in the morning, while interment follows immediately at the deceased residence in Idah.
Late Mama Cecilia Abiba Obaje who died at the age of 102, was the matriarch of both the paternal clan of the Achadu Ohimi-Attah dynasty of Idah and the Ayah-Obaje family, whom she married into seven decades ago.
Mama Cecilia Obaje was known for her boundless love, devotion to Christianity and generosity, always preferring to give rather than to receive.
The deceased is survived by six children, including Sir Joseph Obaje (KSM), a retired Permanent Secretary in the Kogi State Civil Service as well as Doctor David Obaje, Proprietor and Consultant,Kowa Hospital Ijebu-Ode,Ogun State.
Mama Cecilia Obaje also left behind 48 grandchildren and numerous great -grand children.
