Fmr Minister, Prof Stephen Ocheni congratulates Gov Ododo on his victory at the Tribunal.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kogi State, Professor Stephen Ikani Ocheni has congratulated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on his legal victory at the Election Petition Tribunal which this Monday affirmed his election as the dully elected Governor of Kogi state.

 

The Tribunal while delivering judgement on the petition filed by the candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Alhaji Muritala Ajaka,challenging the outcome of the last November Governorship election in Kogi state, dismissed Ajaka’s petition for lack of merit.

 

Professor Stephen Ocheni, a former Minister of the Federal Republic while reacting to the victory of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, described the verdict of the Tribunal as victory for democracy and in particular to the entire APC family in Kogi state.

“This judgment is very clear to all, as a stakeholder of APC in Kogi state, I’m delighted with the outcome of the judgment. I’m happy for my party and also for our Governor for the victory”.

” It’s my prayer and expectations that all the gladiators that went to court will cease further legal battle for the sake of development, peace and unity of our dear beloved state “.

Professor Stephen Ocheni urged the Governor to extend his hands of fellowship to all, including his fellow contestants, so that he could quickly settle down to address the developmental needs of the people of the state.

The former Minister stated that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has demonstrated to be a team player and a leader desirous of entrenching good governance in the state.

Professor Stephen Ocheni while congratulating Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on his victory at the Election Tribunal, assured him of the continued support and cooperation of the entire members of APC in Kogi state.
