A former Minister, Professor Stephen Ikani Ocheni has condoled the Government and people of Kogi state on the demise of one of its illustrious sons, Architect (Chief) Gabriel Yakubu Aduku, the Amana Ogohi Anyigba.
Professor Stephen Ocheni said the State and indeed the nation as a whole has lost a colossus, technocrat, elder statesman and a role model.
Professor Stephen Ocheni in a message of condolence, said the news of the passing away of Architect (Chief) Gabriel Yakubu Aduku, whom he described as an icon was received with grief and sadness.
“This a very sad moment for the state and the immediate family of the deceased. Architect Chief Gabriel Yakubu Aduku was exemplary and outstanding in his professional calling and also in politics.
The former Minister noted that the deceased had served the Igala race and the nation in various capacities such as Chairman, Arewa Consultative Forum and Minister of the Federal Republic, saying his death has created a vacuum too difficult to fill in his immediate Community and the nation as a whole.
Professor Stephen Ocheni expressed his condolences to the entire Igala race and the immediate family of the deceased on the loss of the icon, praying God to comfort them in their moment of grief and for God to grant the soul of late Architect Gabriel Yakubu Aduku eternal rest.
