Comrade Zakito Umar, a former Executive Chairman of Igala Mela/Odolu Local Government Area, has felicitated with the people of his Local Government and the entire Muslim Ummah in Kogi State on the occasion of Eid El Fitr.
In his Sallah message, Comrade Umar expressed his warmest greetings to the government and people of Kogi State, wishing them a joyous and peaceful celebration.
Comrade Umar, who is also known for his passion for sports, having commended the Confluence Badminton Championship in the past, urged Muslims to use the occasion of Eid El Fitr to reflect on the values of compassion, generosity, and self-discipline that Ramadan embodies.
He prayed that the blessings of Allah will continue to guide and protect the people of Kogi State.
The former Executive Chairman also used the occasion to appeal to the Muslim Faithfuls to continue to live in peace and harmony with one another, regardless of their differences.
He emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation in achieving the development and progress of the state.
Comrade Umar further prayed that Allah will grant the people of Kogi State the wisdom and strength to continue to work together for the betterment of the state.
He also wished the Muslim Ummah a happy Eid El Fitr celebration, filled with joy, peace, and prosperity.
