Barrister Humphrey Aba, a former Minister of Police Affairs, advised those fortunate enough to serve in any capacity to prioritize the welfare of the people under whose legitimate power they are privileged to be in positions.

The former Minister gave the advice on Friday at his country home in Akpanya while hosting the Chairman of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government, Hon. (Barrister) Cosmas Atabor.

Barrister Aba maintained that occupying a position should not be used to satisfy personal wants and needs, but rather to render selfless services.

“I’m happy for the Chairman; he has been patient. I used to advise him to be patient, believing that when the time came, things would be seamless. I’m happy his time has come, and my prayers are for him to succeed in his present position.”

“The Chairman has been patient, and when his time came, God intervened, and things started working. Barrister Atabor has been consistently patient; his patience has paid off.”

“He will deliver beyond our expectations based on his antecedents and experience,” Humphrey Aba said.

The former Minister, who described Barrister Atabor as an accomplished lawyer and former Legislator, expressed optimism that the Chairman would excel in office and leave indelible legacies.

While thanking the Chairman for the visit, he encouraged the people of the Local Government to support the administration in Igalamela/Odolu.

Earlier, Barrister Atabor commended the former Minister for his contribution towards building a security house at Unabu to be used by one of the security agencies.
