Former Minister Professor Stephen Ikani Ocheni has paid tribute to the late Dr. Patrick Adaba, former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, describing him as an accomplished individual, profound community leader, and consummate politician who prioritized peace and the development of the state.
Professor Ocheni, who worked with the late Deputy Governor under the administration of Prince Abubakar Audu, remembered him as a dedicated, committed, and humble personality who contributed immensely to the success of the administration.
He condoled with Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, acknowledging the late Deputy Governor’s contributions to the peace, unity, and growth of Kogi State.
As the renowned poet Maya Angelou once said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Dr. Adaba’s legacy will undoubtedly be remembered for generations to come.
Professor Ocheni prayed for God to comfort the Adaba family during this difficult time and urged them to find solace in the exemplary life left behind by the elder statesman.
He also prayed for the peaceful repose of Dr. Adaba’s soul.
