Former NUJ National Officer, Comrade Ali Atabor felicitates Prof. Usman Ogbo Salisu on his reappointment for second term in Office.

The reappointment of Professor Usman Ogbo Salisu as Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has been met with widespread praise and congratulations. Comrade Ali Atabor, a former Chairman of the Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has joined the chorus of well-wishers, hailing the reappointment as a well-deserved recognition of Professor Salisu’s outstanding performance.

The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, had announced in a statement the reappointment of Professor Usman Ogbo Salisu for a second term in Office. Comrade Ali Atabor said the Rector deserved the reappointment given his remarkable and outstanding performance as Head of the Institution.

The Polytechnic has recorded significant quantum leap in both academic and infrastructures under the leadership of Professor Usman Ogbo Salisu. “His coming to the Polytechnic as Rector has indeed impacted positively on the Institution, that can now compete favourably with its counterpart anywhere in the country. He is a blessing to the Polytechnic, wishing he sustain the momentum in his second outing”.

Comrade Ali Atabor, who was also a former national officer of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ogbo for rewarding high dedication and unwavering commitment to service. Comrade Ali Atabor called on Professor Usman Ogbo Salisu to continue to uphold the virtue of hardwork, integrity, discipline and loyalty to enable the Polytechnic grow higher in the years ahead.

The former NUJ State Chairman, who is the Editor of a Frontline Publication, OMANEWS, enjoined youth in Kogi State to emulate the sterling qualities of Professor Usman Ogbo Salisu, who has used his vast experience and focus leadership to turn around the fortunes of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.
