The Executive Chairman of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Ilemona Atabor has today fulfilled a key responsibility by signing into law the 2025 Appropriation Bye-law of the Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Council.
The Bye-law, passed by the Igalamela/Odolu Legislative Council, allocates a total budget of Six Billion, Four Hundred and Eighteen Million, Four Hundred and Thirty-Three Thousand, Six Hundred and Ten Naira (#6,418,433,610) for the Council’s operations in the year ending 31st December 2025.
While presenting the Appropriation Bill, Pastor Moses Ohiaba, the Clerk of the House, highlighted that all relevant provisions of both State and Local Government laws were duly observed.
He emphasized that the bill was carefully reviewed, debated, amended, and approved before its final presentation.
Hon. (Barr.) Atabor after assenting to the bill, reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance, as reflected in the approved budget.
He also praised the Legislative Council for their proactive and diligent efforts, which led to the successful enactment of the Bye-law.
The Leader of the Council, Hon. Ladidi Usman, commended the Chairman for his exceptional leadership, vast knowledge, and open-door policy.
She assured him of the Legislative Council’s continuous collaboration to achieve a stronger and more prosperous Igalamela/Odolu Local Government.
