…The Member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Sanni Egidi Abdulrahmeen has urged Muslims to continue to adhere to the teachings of Allah in this Holy month and beyond.
At the breaking of fast this Thursday at his Ganaja home in Ajaokuta Local Government Area, Rt Hon Sanni Egidi Abdulrahmeen, played host to hundreds of Muslim faithfuls from Ganaja community and it’s environs during the iftar.
Present at the iftar session were Chief Imams from Ganaja, Simbabi quarters, Gadumo, Ibaji quarters, Wada Estate, 500 Housing, Old Poly quarters and other surrounding communities.
Dignitaries who also graced the occasion, included the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Engineer Taiye Abanika, Alhaji Haruna Ganaja, former House of Assembly member representing Ajaokuta State Constituency, Hon. Musa Akaaba, former LGC chairmen, retired Permanent secretaries, former Councilors and Supervisory councilors and a host of other political office holders.
At the occasion, special prayers were offered for the nation, Kogi State, Ajaokuta LGA and for the continued peace, stability and safety of lives and property.
Representative SANNI EGIDI ABDULRAHEEM who was elated with the mammoth turnout of muslim faithfuls for the Iftar, expressed joy and happiness for the show of love and affection to him by the people of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency.
He emphasized that what humanity needs at the moment is the show of love for one another because Almighty Allah, in his instructions, as ordered in the Holy Quran is “to show love for one another, provide for the needy and to help uplift the dignity of brotherhood”.
Other dignitaries who spoke at the occasion,commended Representative SANNI Egidi ABDULRAHEEM for being a worthy representative of his people ,admonishing him to sustain the spirit, as they pledged their unflinching support and loyalty to all his political endeavors.
The guests also appreciated the House of Representatives member for organising Iftar for members of his constituency, and prayed Allah to reward him for providing succour to the people at this trying moment
In a remark, the Chairman of this year’s Iftar organising committee, Alhaji Abubakar Akowe, who is a retired Permanent Secretary, lauded Rt Hon Sanni Abdulrahmeem for the annual breaking of fast and also his uncommon love for the people of his constituency.
