The Igala Cultural Development Association, ICDA, has condemned in the strongest terms the unwarranted assault and killing of innocent citizens at Agojeju in Omala Local Government Area of the state.
A statement by the Caretaker President of ICDA, Pastor Immanuel Ameadaji in Lokoja noted with concern that innocent citizens are unnecessarily being provoked and killed mercilessly.
Pastor Ameadaji described the people of kogi East as bonafide citizens of the country, adding that the extreme silence of both federal and state government over the dastardly act leaves much to be desired.
The statement said the people of kogi East are not known cowards but peaceful citizens with warrior ancestors.
It called on the State Government to immediately send relief materials to the people of Agojeju and equally security personnel to ward off further attacks.
The ICDA President particularly called on the government to ensure that all the criminal elements are properly rounded off and made to face justice .
