The Executive Chairman of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Council, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Atabor hosted the Igalamela/Odolu LG Command of the Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS) and the Gagos’ Joint Meeting of the LGA during separate solidarity visits to his office.
In his address to the NHFSS, Hon. (Barr) Atabor urged the group to enhance their efforts and uphold professionalism to improve security and safeguard lives and properties.
He also stressed the importance of partnership with other security agencies and community leaders to effectively tackle security challenges.
Addressing the Gagos’ Joint Meeting, the Chairman called for vigilance against illegal migrants who might disrupt peace within communities.
He stressed the importance of community engagement, encouraging the organization of sensitization programmes to raise security awareness and promote cooperation with law enforcement agencies.
The Chairman assured the NHFSS of his commitment to providing the necessary security tools to facilitate their duties.
He further stressed the need to build synergy for a secure environment which requires the active participation of all stakeholders, including security personnel, traditional rulers, religious organizations, and residents.
Commander Ibrahim Odiba of the NHFSS in his remarks commended the Chairman for his persistent support , pledging the Command’s readiness to intensify efforts in addressing security challenges.
Similarly, the Chairman of the Gagos’ Joint Meeting, Mr. Okpanachi Adebor, praised the Chairman’s initiative to decongest and clean up Ajaka market, noting its great benefits for not just the traders but the community as a whole.
