The Executive Chairman of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Council, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Atabor welcomed members of the Igalamela Klub and the Igalamela Community Development Association (Home-Branch) to his office during separate courtesy visits.
Engr. Danjuma Ocheja Attah, Vice President of the Igalamela Klub and Comr. Adukwu Z. Musa who led the delegation of Igalamela Community Development Association (Home-Branch) congratulated the Chairman on his victory in the Kogi Council polls.
Responding, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Atabor appreciated the delegations for their visit and paid tribute to the late Mr. J. S. A. Idakwo, acknowledging his significant contributions to community development.
Hon. (Barr) Atabor elaborated on his plans to decongest Ajaka market, noting that an Executive Bill addressing this issue had already been presented to the Legislative Council for passage in the coming week as it is meant to lawfully guide the personnel in bringing the plan to reality without restrictions.
The Chairman called on community elders to assist in sensitizing the youth on government policies, emphasizing that compliance would help minimize security challenges.
He reassured the groups of his devotion to fostering a secure environment and warned that the government would deal decisively against youth resistance to positive change.
The Chairman commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his inclusive leadership and reaffirmed his dedication to promoting peace and unity within the local government.
Engineer Danjuma Attah on behalf Igalamela Klub commended the Chairman’s proactive efforts to tackle Ajaka market congestion and pledged the Association’s continued support for the development of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area.
Comrade Adukwu Musa on his part also praised the Chairman’s achievements, including the equitable distribution of relief materials, support for education, and contributions to community development .
