IGALAMELA/ODOLU LEGISLATIVE ARM TAKES SHAPE AS HON LADIDI USMAN EMERGES LEADER

Ajaka, Igalamela/Odolu Local Government headquarters, witnessed large turnout of some of its sons and daughters on Thursday as Executive Chairman Barrister Cosmas Atabor inaugurated the Legislative Council.

Hon Ladidi Usman from Ekwuoloko Ward was unanimously elected Leader of the House, while Hon Abubakar Abdulkadir assumed the role of Deputy Leader.

The well-attended ceremony drew dignitaries, including Kogi State Lawmaker representing Igalamela/Odolu Constituency, Hon Major Enefola, former Local Government Chairmen, traditional rulers, and various groups.

In his address, Barrister Atabor stressed the legislative arm’s pivotal role in shaping vital laws for effective governance.

“The legislative arm is a powerful instrument for driving development,” Barrister Atabor emphasized. “Your role is crucial in making laws that impact our community positively.”

Hon Major Enefola urged harmonious collaboration between the legislative and executive arms, saying, “Unity is key to achieving success for our people.”

Responding, Leader Hon Ladidi Usman pledged total support for Igalamela/Odolu’s development.

She congratulated colleagues on their successful inauguration and election into various offices.

“As leaders, we must exhibit sense of responsibility in discharging our duties,” Hon Ladidi Usman stressed.
