PUBLIC NOTICE
The Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Council will conduct its monthly Environmental Sanitation and Safety Exercise on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
This initiative was established through an executive bill proposed by the Executive Chairman of the Council Hon. Barr. Cosmas Ilemona Atabor which was enacted by the 8th Igalamela/Odolu Legislative Council, aims to promote cleanliness and safeguard public health and well-being within the Local Government Area.
All residents, shop owners, households, and vendors are encouraged to participate actively in this month’s sanitation exercise.
Please, note that movement is strictly restricted between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM on the designated day except for those on essential services.
The public is advised to comply, by clearing dirt, disposing of it in designated areas, and ensuring proper waste management, including burning and freeing of water channels where necessary.
Failure to comply will result in sanctions as stipulated in the bye-law, which align with relevant constitutional provisions.
Keeping our environment clean and safe is a shared responsibility.
The Council commends residents for their cooperation during last month’s exercise and calls for improved compliance for the month of March.
