Igalamela/Odolu Traditional Council Mourns Paramount Ruler, HRH Yusufu Okpanachi, Omachi Iyogbo

IGALAMELA/ODOLU TRADITIONAL COUNCIL MOURNS PARAMOUNT RULER, HRH CHIEF YUSUFU OKPANACHI

The Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Traditional Council is mourning the loss of one of its revered Paramount Traditional Ruler, HRH Chief Yusufu Okpanachi, the Omachi Iyogbo, who passed on at 112 years old.

Until his demise, the late monarch was a respected member of the Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Traditional Council, Igala Area Traditional Council, and Kogi State Council of Chiefs.

He is survived by an aged sister, Hajiya Fati Okpanachi, two wives, 14 children, 77 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Notable among his children are Prince Mahmud Yusufu Okpanachi, a retired Director of Administration from the Kogi State Local Government Service Commission and Prince Ademu Yusuf Okpanachi, a staff member of the Federal Polytechnic Idah.

The 8th day Firdau prayers for the late monarch will hold on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Omachi Iyogbo Palace, Iyogbo, at nine o’clock in the morning.

The family has expressed gratitude for condolences and support during this difficult time.
