The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, has urged Information Officers in the state to prioritize their health and well-being, emphasizing that good health is crucial to effective service delivery.
During the Monthly Ododo Media Awards at the Ministry, Fanwo stated, “As we project the strides of the Ododo Administration, I urge you to take your health seriously.
A healthy workforce is a productive one.” He directed the Permanent Secretary to provide Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar Testing Kits to all Information Officers, encouraging them to be deliberate about their health.
Fanwo commended the officers for their dedication and professionalism in communicating the achievements of the Ododo administration, noting that “Kogi is on the right track with Ododo.
” He praised Governor Ododo’s leadership style and commitment to good governance, saying the administration will remain focused on governance and service delivery.
The Commissioner also reaffirmed that the administration won’t be swayed by distractions, stating, “The Governor has said his projects are his noise. We won’t be distracted. This is not the time for politics.”
The event featured the presentation of awards to outstanding Information Officers, with Mr. Bayode Taiye, Mr. James Sanni, and Mrs. Aisha Yusuf emerging as the top three winners for October 2025.
The Permanent Secretary, Mr. Celestine Idoko, praised the Commissioner for initiating the awards program, describing it as a laudable effort to motivate and reward outstanding officers.
