Renowned Islamic scholar, Sheik Muhammad Qaseem Danjuma, has emphasized the importance of Islamic knowledge in achieving success in both Western education and moral development.
Speaking at the Quranic graduation ceremony of eight students at the Aniebo Housing Estate Central Mosque in Lokoja, Sheik Danjuma encouraged Muslim parents to prioritize Islamic education alongside Western education.
He stressed that pupils well-grounded in Islamic knowledge tend to excel in Western education pursuits.
Sheik Danjuma also highlighted the significance of seeking Islamic knowledge, noting that it increases a believer’s consciousness of Allah and serves as a gateway to paradise.
The graduating students, three of whom were children of Hajia Mariam Khalid Muhammad, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, were praised by their mother for their achievement.
She attributed their success to the discipline and teachings obtained from the Quranic school, which she believes will shape their lives positively.
Guests at the ceremony commended Hajia Mariam Khalid Muhammad for her dedication to her children’s upbringing, noting that her commitment to Islamic education will benefit them greatly in the future.
Guests from far and near witnessed the ceremony, including a former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Ndamodu Ali, a former Chairman of Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists,NUJ, Comrade Ali Atabor as well as members of Associations.
