The wedding ceremony of Hope Ademu, daughter of Mr. Bartholomew Ademu, a retired Executive Director of News and Current Affairs at Radio Kogi Lokoja, and her fiancé David was a grand celebration of love and commitment.
The couple exchanged vows at Arch Angels Catholic Church, Lokoja, surrounded by friends, family, and dignitaries.
The officiating priest, Rev. Bernard Ologunnagba, emphasized the importance of love and mutual submission in marriage, citing the book of Sirach 26:1-4, 13-16.
He described the bond of marriage as a holy mystery and a symbol of Christ’s love for the church.
After the church ceremony, a lavish wedding reception was held at an Events Center in Peace Community, Lokoja.
The reception was attended by prominent personalities from various fields, including Alhaji Suleman Ibrahim, Director General of Protocol at the Government House Lokoja; Chief Donatus Okpe, former Managing Director of Graphic Newspaper; and serving and retired Permanent Secretaries, such as Sir Joseph Obaje.
Other notable guests included Prince Sunday Inah, Chairman/CEO of Karomsi Hotels Lokoja; heads of agencies and parastatals in Kogi State; and former staff members and management of Radio Kogi, including Mr. Wada Akpa and Comrade Ali Atabor, former Chairman of the Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
The guests celebrated the union with great enthusiasm, showering the couple with gifts and good wishes.
The father of the bride, Mr. Bartholomew Ademu, expressed gratitude to all guests for honoring their invitation.
As the newlyweds danced to the joyous applause of their guests, it was clear that their love would be a lasting one.
With the support of their loved ones and their commitment to each other, Hope and David are set to build a happy and fulfilling life together.
