The Chairman/CEO of the Kogi State Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) Engr. Ibrahim S. Abdwaaris, felicitates with the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitri.
Engr. Ibrahim Abdwaaris prayed that Almighty Allah’s peace and blessings be upon the Chief Servant of Kogi State, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, as he observed the Eid-el-Fitri celebration along with his executive members, government functionaries, and other stakeholders in the state.
The KERC Chairman/CEO saluted the leadership and vision of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, towards revolutionizing the electricity sector in Kogi State, culminating in the establishment of the Kogi State Electricity Regulatory Commission.
According to Engr. Abdwaaris, this move will attract investors to Kogi State, create jobs, improve electricity supply, and promote economic growth.
Engr. Ibrahim Abdwaaris also congratulated the Speaker of the Kogi House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar, and his members, the State Chairman of APC, Hon. Abdullahi Bello, the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade(PhD), and other government functionaries on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
On this joyous occasion, the KERC Chairman/CEO reassured the people of Kogi State of the Commission’s commitment to promoting reliable, efficient, and affordable electricity in our dear state.
“Our objective is to ensure that electricity is available, accessible, and affordable to all,” Engr. Abdwaaris said.
To achieve this, the Chairman/CEO stated that the Commission will regulate the electricity sector in a fair, transparent, and efficient manner, emphasizing that the body will work closely with electricity generation and distribution companies operate within the highest standards of safety for improved efficiency, reliability, and customer service.
While wishing the Muslim Ummah a successful Eid-el-Fitri celebration, Engr. Abdwaaris prayed for Allah’s guidance and protection for the First Family in Kogi State and his Cabinet members. He equally prayed for peace, Devine guidance and good health for the entire Muslims during and after the festive period.
