_Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo Praised for Empowering Journalists_
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has received accolades from Alhaji Ali Atabor, former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Kogi State, for providing opportunities for journalists to participate in his administration.
Comrade Atabor made this assertion during a courtesy visit to Comrade Ebenezer Adurodija, Permanent Secretary of the Kogi Ministry of Information and Communication, in Lokoja.
Comrade Atabor commended Governor Ododo for his love for journalists, demonstrated through various opportunities to serve in his administration.
He cited the elevation of Comrade Adurodija as evidence of the Governor’s positive disposition towards journalists in Kogi State.
” With Comrade Adurodija’s wealth of experience, Atabor expressed confidence in his success as Permanent Secretary”.
The former NUJ Chairman also praised Governor Ododo’s humility and commitment to improving the lives of ordinary citizens through people-oriented policies.
Specifically, Comrade Atabor applauded the prompt payment of salaries and pensions, as well as the implementation of the new minimum wage.
Comrade Adurodija in his remark expressed gratitude to Governor Ododo for the opportunity to serve, noting that the Ministry of Information and Communication is well-positioned to promote the administration’s programs and policies.
Comrade Adurodija described Kogi Information and Communication Commissioner Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo as a dedicated public servant and highlighted innovations encouraging information officers to deliver quality services.
The former Kogi state NUJ Chairman was accompanied on the visit by the Publisher of Newsnow Express, Alhaji Hussaini Abubakar and the Head of Information, Ministry of Youths and Sports Development Comrade James Sani.
