Kogi State APC Kicks Off LG Elections Campaign with Grand Flag off Ceremony

An unprecedented crowd of party enthusiasts from across Kogi State gathered at the modern Muhammad Buhair Civil Center in Lokoja, the state capital, to mark the commencement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign for the upcoming local government elections.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo led the party faithful, accompanied by his Deputy, Comrade Salifu Joel Oyibo, the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, members of the state executive council, and the Kogi State APC Chairman, Abdullahi Bello.

The event featured cultural performances from various local government areas, adding to the excitement.

During the ceremony, Governor Ododo, along with the party leadership, presented flags to the APC flagbearers for the October 19 council polls, amidst cheers and jubilation from the crowd.

Barrister Cosmas Ilemona Atabor, the APC candidate for Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area, expressed gratitude to the party for the opportunity to seek the chairmanship position.

He pledged to serve the people with utmost diligence and dedication if elected.

Barrister Atabor also commended stakeholders and party members for their confidence in him, urging them to vote for him and all councillorship candidates in the forthcoming polls.

James Omachonu Onoja, Chairman of the Campaign Council in Igalamela/Odolu Local Government, assured that the body is ready to work tirelessly to secure a resounding victory for all APC candidates in the local government elections.

Professor Stephen Ikani Ocheni was among party chieftains that attended the ceremony and also spoke at the occasion.
