Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday A. Anyebe, has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his youth-friendly policies and commitment to youth development in the state.
These commissioner made the remarks during a courtesy visit by Comrade Ali Atabor, a former Chairman of the Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), and Alhaji Husseini Abubà kar, Editor of newsnowexpress to his office in Lokoja.
Hon. Anyebe expressed the commitment of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to empowering the youths of Kogi State, stating that his office is open to receiving counsel and advice from stakeholders.
He also emphasized the importance of youth development, highlighting the role of young people in driving progress and innovation in the state.
Hon Anyebe expressed appreciation to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the opportunity to serve, promising to work towards actualizing the goals of the present administration.
The Commissioner appreciated the support of his team and the Governor, acknowledging that his success is a reflection of the Governor’s commitment to youth development.
He encouraged the youth of Kogi State to take ownership of their digital futures, embracing the opportunities offered by digital technologies to drive positive change and contribute to sustainable development.
Comrade Ali Atabor, a former Chairman of the Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), praised Governor Ododo for his commitment to youth development, citing the launch of the Kogi State Youth Database as a notable example.
Comrade Ali Atabor commended Hon. Anyebe for his dedication to empowering young people in the state, urging him to continue to remain Ambassador of the youth in Kogi state and beyond.
The former Kogi State NUJ Chairman also commended Governor Ododo for promoting digital literacy and skills among young people, highlighting the importance of digital technologies in driving economic growth and development.
He praised Hon. Anyebe for his efforts to promote youth engagement and participation in governance, saying his performance so far in office has been excellent.
