KOGI GOVERNMENT TO PARTNER SECURITY AGENCIES TO CURB CRIME IN THE STATE

The Kogi State Government has pledged to collaborate with security agencies to reduce crime and criminal activities within the State.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo made the remark while presenting a state-of-the-art Toyota Sienna Bus and five Yamaha Motorcycles to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, representing Idah Federal Constituency, today in Lokoja.

In his address, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, conveyed through Deputy Comrade Joel Salifu, emphasized his administration’s unwavering stance against criminal elements throughout the State, cautioning evil doers to cease their activities or face legal consequences.

He declared that the era of criminals troubling the state is now a thing of the past, highlighting that security personnel are fully equipped and deployed to combat crime and criminal behavior across the length and breadth of the state.

The Governor urged the people of Kogi East to maintain vigilance in their surroundings, collaborate with security agencies, and report any suspicious individuals or activities to the nearest security outpost.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo reiterated his dedication to safeguarding the lives and properties of the citizens, emphasizing that security is a collective responsibility.

He charged the Special Adviser on Security, Idah Federal Constituency to exhibit diligence in his duties and collaborate with security agencies in the area to ensure the peace and tranquility of the general populace.

In response, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Idah Federal Constituency, Onoja Omachonu James, expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and Deputy Comrade Joel Salifu for entrusting him with the opportunity to serve the state, pledging to uphold the confidence placed in him.

He lauded the Governor for providing logistical support, affirming that the vehicle will be utilized for its intended purpose.

The allocation of operational vehicles to the SA on Security to the Governor represents one of the numerous proactive measures taken by the administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to combat insecurity head-on since assuming office. Undoubtedly, this initiative is poised to quash insecurity at its roots and foster a harmonious living environment for the people of Idah Federal Constituency.
