The Kogi State Head of Civil Service, Mr. Elijah Evinemi, has observed the conduct of a promotion examination exercise for 60 credible directors, describing the process as fair, transparent, and credible.
Speaking to the press at the examination center, Evinemi commended the management of the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN) for ensuring a well-structured and organized exercise, attributing it to their diligence, integrity, and commitment.
Evinemi promised fairness and equity in the selection process, stressing that it will be based on merit.
He advised participants to be law-abiding and encouraged those who may not get appointed to cooperate with those who will be selected, noting that the knowledge gained from the training should build their capacity for quality service delivery.
The Head of Service thanked Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his support in ensuring a merit-based selection process of Permanent Secretaries in Kogi State.
He announced that the results of the exercise are likely to be released next week.
The Director of Studies and Learning, PSIN Abuja, Mr. Tunde Adeniran, expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation received in the state and thanked the Head of Service and his management for their support.
He advised participants to familiarize themselves with the Public Service Rules for better productivity.
Participants, including Alhaji Sheidu Ademu, Mrs. Taiye Obanawu, Mrs. Wosilat Owuda, and Mr. James Oyewole, thanked the state government for the exercise, describing it as well-coordinated and an eye-opener.
