Kogi United’s New Head Coach Assumes Office with a Charge to Promote Fairness

The new Head Coach of Kogi United football Club has assumed office with a mandate to promote discipline and fairness among players.

The State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, gave the charge while receiving the Head Coach and his team in his office in Lokoja.

Hon Anyebe advised the new coach to avoid nepotism and favoritism, emphasizing the need to work with a free hand to take the club to national and international heights.

He commended the present administration’s passion for sporting activities and urged the coach to make the state proud.

The new Head Coach, Mr. Gilbert Opana, assured the commissioner of his commitment and dedication to duty, promising to do everything possible to take the club higher.

Mr Opana thanked the commissioner for his support and promised not to let him down.

The chairman of Kogi United, Hon. Abdullahi Isah Dolly, and some technical team members were present at the event.
