Alhaji Ademu Seidu, Chairman of the Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), had a proud moment as three of his children, Ademu Husseini, Seidu Khadija, and Seidu Jemila, graduated from the Alhimiar Islamia Center in Lokoja.
The Maulid-nibiyi and Quranic graduation ceremony, which took place today (Saturday), was attended by notable Muslim scholars and dignitaries, including members of the NUJ, former NUJ State chairmen including Comrade Ali Atabor, and top government officials.
Justice M. M. Bello, a Khadi of the Sharia Court in Lokoja, emphasized the importance of Quranic education in preparing children for societal challenges.
He presented certificates to the graduands after their successful recitation of some verses of the Quran.
Alhaji Ademu Seidu Kogi state NUJ Chairman expressed his gratitude to Allah and commended the Mallama who taught his children for her dedication to Islam.
The ceremony marked an important milestone in the educational journey of the nine graduands, including Abdullahi Aishat, Hassan Hanif, Yahaya Latifat, Danladi Fauziya, Adama Nimatullah, and Mohamed Mariam.
Among dignitaries at the ceremony include Ebenezer Adurodija, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Information, the Director -General Kogi state Broadcasting Corporation, Hajia Hawanana Yusuf, the Managing Director Kogi Printing and Publishing Corporation Mr Itopa, and NUJ Vice President Zone D, Alhaji Adeiza Momohjimoh .
