NUJ Kogi State Council Set to Celebrate 2024 Press Week,Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo to be Invested as Grand Patron

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kogi State Council, has announced plans to hold its 2024 Press Week from August 16th to 20th, 2024.

The event, themed “Celebrating Diversity, Promoting Unity: The Role of Media in Kogi State’s Ethnic Relations,” aims to promote unity and diversity among journalists and the general public.

The Press Week will feature various activities, including Jumat prayers, church services, sporting events, visits to orphanages, environmental sanitation, and free medical services.

The grand finale, scheduled for August 20th, 2024, at the EdgeDrive Hotel Lokoja, will witness the investiture of Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo as the Grand Patron of the NUJ.

The investiture ceremony will be performed by the National President of the NUJ, Comr. Chief Chris Isiguzo, MFR, alongside other national and zonal officers of the union.

His Royal Majesty, Ohimegye Igu Koton, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu, will chair the event, while Prof. Akinwumi Olayemi, Vice Chancellor, Federal University Lokoja, will deliver the keynote paper.
