NUJ Niger State Council Chairman, Comrade Abu Modu Felicitates with Muslim Ummah on Eid el-Fitri

Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Niger State Council, Comrade Abu Nmodu has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr Sallah festival.

In a Sallah message issued by the Assistant Secretary of the Council, Comrade Abubakar Adamu Kuta, the Chairman described the Eid-el-Fitr as a time of introspection and assessment of one’s actions and habits.

By examining one’s shortcomings and striving for improvement, Comrade Abu Nmodu stated that individuals can grow in character and make a positive impact on their lives and lives of others beyond Ramadhan.

The statement reads “I join the entire Muslim ummah in celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr. We have so many lessons learnt during the Just concluded Ramadhan fast. I want to encourage us not to only allow these lessons sink in us but reflect in our dealings beyond the fasting and Eid period.

“Experiencing the pangs of hunger and thirst during the fast can lead to a heightened awareness of the needs and struggles of others, particularly those less fortunate.

“This awareness fosters compassion and encourages act of charity and generosity, both during and after the month of Ramadhan.

“While encouraging cohesion and peaceful coexistence, we should all remember that Islam appreciates diversity in the society and thus the need for respect and tolerance among Muslims and between Muslims as well as non-Muslims alike”.

He advised all Muslim faithful to act upon the commandments of Allah and also about the duties they have to perform to become good Muslims.

He prayed “May Allah shower His blessing and mercy upon you and your households. May Almighty Allah make us witness more of it in life with peace and success, amin. Barka da Sallah and Happy Eid-El-Fitr”.
