The NUJ Chairman also highlighted the Union’s efforts to curb quackery, warning that patronage by officials encourages individuals to engage in unprofessional journalism.

He urged the public to report such cases to the Union.

In response, Malam Mohammed Kolo appreciated the NUJ delegation and emphasized the need for government to involve NUJ and RATTAWU in media house recruitments to ensure professionalism.

He also called on NUJ to tackle quackery in the profession.
