Stakeholders from Ogbogba Community today paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Ilemona Atabor, on a thank-you tour to express their appreciation for his impactful leadership and developmental initiatives.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Chief Yakubu Salifu lauded Hon. Atabor for his remarkable contributions to the community, particularly the comprehensive rehabilitation of the healthcare centre, which has greatly improved the people’s health standards
.
He also commended the chairman’s commitment to human capital development, noting that many youths from the area have secured meaningful employment through his initiatives.
Also speaking, Chief Yahaya Iyaji conveyed the community’s request to the Chairman for the provision of a 500KVA transformer to restore electricity to the area, which according to him has suffered from prolonged darkness.
In his response, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Atabor expressed deep appreciation to the Ogbogba stakeholders for recognising and appreciating the government’s efforts in the area.
The Chairman extolled Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s exemplary leadership and benevolence, which he said are evident in the numerous developmental projects witnessed across Igalamela/Odolu LGA.
He urged the community to continue standing firmly with the vision of the Chief Servant of Kogi State, assuring them that more developmental benefits are underway for Ogbogba and other parts of the local government.
The Chairman assured them that their request would receive due attention and be given prompt consideration.
In his remark, the Chairman of Igalamela/Odolu Traditional Council, HRH Chief Abel Emakoji Etuh, expressed the community’s heartfelt gratitude to Governor Ododo for the unprecedented transformation in the area.
He reaffirmed the traditional council’s commitment to supporting the governor’s administration and collaborating with the local government to sustain peace and progress.
The meeting stressed the growing synergy between the government and traditional institutions aimed at fostering peace, unity, and accelerated development across Igalamela/Odolu LGA.
