A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State and former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Stephen Ikani Ocheni, has applauded the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the remarkable performance recorded in the first year in office.
Professor Stephen Ocheni, who spoke with journalists in his Lokoja residence today, emphasized that Governor Ododo has not only united the people of the state but has also impressively invigorated the civil service by improving the morale of the work force through improved welfare programs such as prompt and full payment of salaries and pensions to workers to enhance productivity.
Highlighting that the administration of Governor Ododo has been people-friendly, the former Minister maintained that members of the APC in Kogi State are delighted with the performance of the Chief Servant of the state.
He stressed that Governor Ododo has been able to meet the expectations of the people of the state, especially building bridges of friendship across the three Senatorial Districts and prioritizing the welfare of workers and pensioners in Kogi State and running an open door administration.
The administration, in the last one year in office, has equally given attention to issues of security, not only in the state capital but also in the entire local government areas.
“It’s a very promising beginning for the people of Kogi State; the state is relatively more united because the Governor has committed himself to pursuing those ideals that will promote peace and unity in our dear state.
The Governor will continue to enjoy my unflinching support and that of the APC stakeholders and supporters in Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area.”

“I congratulate the Governor for his efforts in the one year in office; I pray fervently for more breakthroughs for him in office and also call on the people of Kogi State to sustain their support as the administration strives to make positive impacts on their lives.”
