Prince Ademu Yusuf Okpanachi, a prominent member of Igalamela Youth Renaissance Ajaka (IYRA) and academic staff member of the Federal Polytechnic Idah, has been conferred with a meritorious service award for his outstanding contributions to the development of Igalamela community and the Local Government.
The award was presented during the inauguration of IYRA’s new officials at Ajaka, where the organization lauded Prince Ademu as an emerging leader in Kogi East who has been supporting the less privileged despite his meager resources.
“IYRA commends this young and vibrant individual who has taken it as a responsibility to support our programs and make significant impacts on those who approach him for support,” the organization stated.
In his reaction, Prince Ademu expressed surprise at the gesture, saying, “This is a surprise to me, I feel highly honored… Moving forward, I promise to rededicate myself to services that will benefit humanity and the society at large.”
As a young philanthropist, Prince Ademu has been driving development and mentorship in his community through education promotion, mentorship, and support for the vulnerable.
His efforts have made a significant impact, and IYRA urged him not to relent in his good work.
As Prince Ademu himself aptly put it, “Service to others is the rent we pay for our room here on earth.” His commitment to humanity is indeed a confirmation to the power of selfless service.
IYRA’s recognition of Prince Ademu’s efforts is a reminder that “the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.
” His dedication to the development of Igalamela community serves as an inspiration to many”.
