The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has officially announced that Thursday, June 5, 2025, will be observed as Arafat Day, marking the climax of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
Following the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah crescent moon, which marks the beginning of the Islamic month, Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on Friday, June 6, 2025.
Arafat Day holds great spiritual significance for Muslims worldwide, as pilgrims gather at Mount Arafat for prayers and reflection, commemorating the Prophet Muhammad’s Farewell Sermon.
This day is considered a time for seeking forgiveness and spiritual rejuvenation, culminating the Hajj pilgrimage, one of the five pillars of Islam.
