Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho, representing Kogi East, has successfully completed a 3-day training and empowerment program in agriculture for youths from Omala, Olamaboro, and Ankpa local government areas.
This initiative, facilitated by Danfulani Global Services Limited and the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority, aimed to equip young people with practical skills and start-up capital to thrive in the agricultural sector.
The program, which took place at the NULGE hall, Ankpa Local Government Secretariat, provided training in Agricultural Mechanization farming.
Senator Echocho, represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Alhaji Danlami Garba, urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the seedlings and money provided to improve their standard of living.
The beneficiaries received various forms of support, including:
– Free lunch and transport tokens during the training
– Cash donations as start-up capital
– Maize seedlings to support their agricultural endeavors
The program has received positive feedback from beneficiaries, with Comrade Negedu Danladi and Hajiya Rabi expressing gratitude to Senator Echocho for his commitment to delivering quality representation to his constituents.
This initiative is part of Senator Echocho’s efforts to empower youths and promote agricultural development in Kogi East.
