The Okun Development Association (ODA) has pledged its unwavering support to Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State.
This endorsement came during a visit to Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the State Commissioner for Information and Communications.
Ambassador Rotimi, leader of the ODA delegation, expressed gratitude for the progress at Kogi State University, Kabba, and praised Governor Ododo for building on former Governor Yahaya Bello’s foundation.
Ambassador Rotimi highlighted the university as a shining example of people-oriented governance and appreciated the prompt intervention in Okunland’s new university.
He acknowledged the evident development in township roadways, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions, promoting economic growth and community well-being.
The Commissioner for Information and Communication Mr Kingsley Fanwo emphasized unity as essential for development, urging the ODA to establish a platform for growth and rallying behind Governor Ododo.
He described Ododo as a humble, humane leader committed to transformative development.
Fanwo also announced the upgrade of 72 primary healthcare centers, with at least 30% serving Okun, demonstrating the administration’s dedication to the progress of the area.
This development is consistent with Governor Ododo’s vision for Kogi State. As a seasoned accountant and financial expert, the Governor has implemented reforms and improved financial management systems at the local government level.
His leadership has earned recognition, with former Kogi lawmakers backing him for his commitment to continuity and development.
