The Women of Chapel of Freedom Church, Barracks Branch, Lokoja, gathered on Sunday to celebrate their annual Mother’s Day, a joyous occasion showcasing their unique strengths and talents.
The event featured special ministrations, thanksgivings, and a drama presentation, all centered around the theme “In Times Like This.”
Deacon Deborah Ichaba, Sisters’ leader, emphasized the significance of the celebration, urging women to draw closer to God amidst the current challenges facing the world.
She acknowledged the unquantifiable mentorship and motherly roles of Mrs Margaret Ibenu for her positive disposition towards bringing women nearer to God through her guardian.
Deacon Deborah Ichaba encouraged strong faith and trust in God’s power to overcome adversity.
Reverend Margaret John Ibenu delivered a powerful sermon, citing scriptural references to the signs of Jesus Christ’s coming.
She advised believers to remain close to God’s word, pray fervently, and practice self-discipline to overcome economic hardship, wars, and disobedience to God’s precepts.
The celebration honored the mentorship and motherly role of Mrs. Reverend Margaret John Ibenu, who has inspired women to deepen their faith.
